Today, Next Level Day Camp began Day Four a little differently. We were grateful to have My Remarkable Self come to teach the importance of words and how they can affect your self esteem. My Remarkable Self demonstrated how positive words can “inflate” someone else’s self esteem and how negative comments can “deflate” it as well.
NLDC introduced a new sport called Gaga. This sport has caught many girls’ eyes as it has become a highly requested elective.
Our Camp Wide Activity game was “Charlie’s Candy”. The game consisted of staff transforming into Oompa Loompas and Candy-makers. The campers ran around Ursuline’s campus attempting to enlarge their candy collection, by collecting balloons from the candy-makers while avoiding the Oompa Loompas. This fun-filled competition left the girls with a memorable time and the brightest smiles on their faces.
In the afternoon the girls cooked a variety of appetizers including cucumber towers.
As the week progresses, so have the girls’ skills. Day four was another success at Next Level Day Camp and we can’t wait to complete our first week!
